Main Areas of Activity

The Ministry of Justice and Public Administration deals with the organisation and status of the courts, the State Attorney's Office and the constitutional court, supervision over the operation of the State Attorney's Office and other statutory types of judicial supervision – with the exception of judicial supervision over the State Prosecutor's Office – civil and punitive law, judicial proceedings, alternative dispute resolution, judicial administration, attorneyship, notarial services, the enforcement of criminal sanctions,  the protection of personal data, international legal assistance, international judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters; and tasks concerning e-justice and public administration, the systemic regulation of the organisation and operation of the public sector, the system for civil servants and salaries in the public sector, e-commerce, access to public information, the operation of NGOs, the systemic regulation of public utility services, the systemic regulation of the management of state assets, and tasks concerning local self-government.
