Gašpar Gašpar Mišič, born on 24 July 1966, has a BSc degree in Nautical Science.
In 1981, after primary school, he moved from Ljubljana to Piran where he finished his studies and set up a home. He lives in Piran with his four member family. He gained his work experience on the long-distance ships as a merchant navy officer – rank of lieutenant - until 1994. Then he founded a business for real-estate, architectural bureau, civil engineering and investments, which operates successfully still nowadays. As a connoisseur and collector of works of art, he ran during ten years his gallery - Studio Galerija Gasspar in Piran and in Grožnjan. Gašpar Gašpar Mišič has been active in the social and political fields: he started as a member of youth organisations and worked later on in NGOs and other organisations with economic interest as well as local politics (president of Piran Tourist Society, president of Lucija Local Community, member of the Management Board of the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Piran, municipal adviser and deputy mayor of Piran Municipality). In 2009, he became member of the Association of Slovenian Order of the Knights of Wine for Slovenian Istria and Karst.
His most remarkable business success was the construction of a progressively and functionally designed residential-business complex 'Rezidenca Park Lucija', which is a synonym for high culture of living in Slovenia.
In December 2011, at early parliamentary elections, he stood as a candidate of Zoran Janković's Positive Slovenia list in Koper and Piran electoral districts and was elected Deputy in the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia. In this capacity, he was active, particularly in infrastructure and economic sectors. Gašpar Gašpar Mišič was Vice-president of the Committee for Infrastructure and Spatial Planning, member of the Constitutional Commission, member of the Committee for Agriculture and Environment, Vice-president of the Investigative Commission for establishing cases of abuse in the Slovenian banking system, alternate member of the National Assembly Delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean, and member of the Inter-parliamentary Union National Group in the National Assembly.
