    24.06.2009 - Prime Minister Borut Pahor, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Nader Dahabi. The two addressed bilateral relations between the countries and agreed that they needed to be further enhanced. The two prime ministers stressed that particular attention must be devoted to strengthening economic co-operation between the countries and to finding ways of promoting closer co-operation in this field.     Statehood Day - Anniversary of Slovenia's Independence

    24.06.2009 - President Danilo Tuerk addressed on the main ceremony held on the anniversary of Slovenia's independence, saying that as Slovenia is coming of age in the mids of a world crisis, it is starting to discover its shortcomings. Honouring the bravery of Slovenian men and women in uniform who secured Slovenian independence 18 years ago and remembering some of the country's key achievements since, Tuerk said that "we rejected the illusions of quick solutions offered from abroad" and avoided unnecessary experiments.   Address by the President at the state ceremony

    18.06.2009 - Croatia informed Commissioner Rehn that it does not accept his latest proposal on the draft agreement on resolving the border dispute between Slovenia and Croatia, which had already been progressing in the right direction in order to reach a compromise agreement. Slovenia remains committed to the process of finding a compromise solution of the issue. More>>
